Seven of these rounds surpassed $1 billion, signaling strong investor confidence in AI’s future. As 2025 unfolds, the trend continues. The number of U.S.-based AI startups that have raised over $100 million is already nearing double digits, and at least one mega-round has exceeded $1 billion.

Major AI Funding Rounds in 2025

March

  • Anthropic – Raised $3.5 billion in a Series E round, valuing the AI research and large language model startup at $61.5 billion. Investors include Lightspeed, Salesforce Ventures, Menlo Ventures, and General Catalyst.

February

  • Together AI – Secured $305 million in a Series B round, valuing the company at $3.3 billion. Investors include Prosperity7, General Catalyst, Salesforce Ventures, Nvidia, Lux Capital, and others.
  • Lambda – Raised $480 million in a Series D round, with a valuation of $2.5 billion. Co-led by SGW and Andra Capital, with participation from Nvidia, G Squared, ARK Invest, and others.
  • Abridge – This Pittsburgh-based AI platform for medical transcription raised $250 million in a Series D round, valuing it at $2.75 billion. Investors include IVP, Elad Gil, Lightspeed, Redpoint, and Spark Capital.
  • Eudia – The AI legal tech startup secured $105 million in a Series A round led by General Catalyst, with backing from Floodgate, Defy Ventures, and Everywhere Ventures.
  • EnCharge AI – Raised $100 million in a Series B round, led by Tiger Global, with participation from Scout Ventures, Samsung Ventures, and RTX Ventures.
  • Harvey – An AI-powered legal tech startup, raised $300 million in a Series D round, valuing the company at $3 billion. Led by Sequoia, with participation from OpenAI Startup Fund, Kleiner Perkins, and Elad Gil.

  • ElevenLabs – A synthetic voice startup, raised $180 million in a Series C round, surpassing a $3 billion valuation. Investors include ICONIQ Growth, Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia, NEA, and Salesforce Ventures.
  • Hippocratic AI – Developing LLMs for the healthcare sector, the startup secured $141 million in a Series B round, with a valuation of $1.6 billion. Investors include Kleiner Perkins, Andreessen Horowitz, Nvidia, and General Catalyst.
